Why won't my coupons print?
If you're experiencing problems printing our discount coupons there may be a few reasons:

1. You don't have a default printer or your printer isn't ready
You must have a default printer selected for your computer, and it must be a real, paper-based printer, not a virtual fax machine or file printer like PDF writer. Follow the instructions that came with your computer for setting up your printer. Also, make sure your printer is turned on, loaded with paper, has enough toner or ink and is set as your "default printer." If your printer is a multi-function device (print, fax, copy, scan) please make sure the default printer is the print function, not the fax function.

2. Your browser or operating systems may be incompatible
Coupon printing is supported on systems running these Microsoft Windows Operating Systems: Vista, XP and 2000 when used with Internet Explorer 6+, FireFox 1+, Netscape 8+ and most MSN and AOL browsers.

If you are unable to print when using an MSN, AOL or Compuserve browser, please try printing your coupon using Internet Explorer 6+. Note: you will need to re-install the coupon printer when you open Internet Explorer. Please see the instructions under "Why couldn't I install the Coupon Printer?" below.

Coupon printing is not supported on Windows 98 or earlier, Windows ME, Linux or WebTV.

Coupon printing is currently supported on Macintosh OSX 10.3 or higher when used with Safari 2+.

For best performance, we recommend using the latest version of your preferred browser.

3. You did not install the Coupon Printer
In order to print CouponBug coupons you need to download and install the Coupon Printer. It's free, safe and easy to use and does not install any form of spyware or adware or collect any personal information about you. Once it's been downloaded and installed (a process that takes a few seconds) you will be able to print coupons from our site and e-mails you might receive from us.

Why couldn't I install the Coupon Printer?

Every computer is different — as soon as we get our computers home, we begin the process of changing the settings, installing new software and updating the features to the way we like them. Each of these changes can affect how other software and functions will behave, including the installation of the CouponBug secure coupon printer.

We’ve found some basic changes that users make to their computer that affect the printer installation. Please try to temporarily make changes to your computer so that you can install our coupon printer and enjoy the savings we can provide. If, after trying these options, you still cannot install the coupon printer or print coupons, please get in touch with us at so we can help you directly.

1. You must have Administrator privileges to install the coupon printer (or any program for that matter!)
You can check in the Control Panel under Users to be sure you are set up as an Administrator. Many corporations do not allow their employees to be Administrators on their own work computers, so, if you work for one of these companies, you may want to try to print your coupons at home.

2. You need to use one of our supported browsers and operating systems
Please see the supported browsers and operating systems listed above.

3. The ActiveX control should be enabled
When using Internet Explorer to install the CouponBug coupon printer, a yellow box may appear at the top of the browser window. This box is a warning that an attempt to install an ActiveX control or a plugin was blocked. If you click on the yellow box, you will be given the opportunity to install the ActiveX — please do so. The ActiveX control is a mini-software device (plug-in) that allows the browser to implement our coupon printer.

Also, make sure to click the appropriate buttons in any dialog boxes that appear to allow the installation. Modern browsers make you jump through a few hoops to install plug-ins, but it's worth it!

4. Anti-Virus/Spyware/Adware software needs to allow the installation
Your anti-virus/spyware/adware might be mistaking us for someone else and preventing the installation on your computer! We have hundreds of thousands of users who have printed millions of coupons. Our coupon printer is both safe and secure. While we have attempted to work with most of the major publishers of such software to ensure that our coupon printer is not blocked, there may be programs that block the installation, or put up a warning that you are about to install a program. You should choose to allow the installation.

Please turn off or disable any anti-virus/spyware/adware software for the coupon printer installation process. You can do this by selecting the icon in the lower right hand side of your screen, right clicking on the program and select “Disable” (we will remind you to re-enable at the end of this page!).
